Are you ready for paid ads? Take the 10-question check

Find out whether ads will pay back for you now, or what to fix first so you don't waste the budget.

Answer each question

Do you know your average sale value and gross margin?

You need both to know what an ad can cost.

Do you know the most you can pay to win a customer?

Try our cost-per-lead checker if not.

Is there a landing page that matches the offer, with one clear action?

Not just your homepage.

Is conversion tracking set up for forms, calls and WhatsApp?

So ads can learn which clicks become enquiries.

Can someone reply to new enquiries within an hour?

Including evenings and weekends.

Do you have a clear offer or reason to enquire now?

For example a free consultation, audit, sample or quote.

Can you keep spending for at least three months while campaigns learn?

Most campaigns improve a lot after the first few weeks.

Do you have reviews, case studies or proof to show?

Ads bring strangers; proof helps them trust you.

Do you know your ideal customer by role, need and location?

Who buys, why, and where.

Do you track leads through to sales in a CRM or sheet?

So you can see which ads bring customers, not just clicks.

Fix these first

Results are a starting point based on your answers. Your answers stay in your browser.

    Why readiness matters

Ads amplify what is already there. With a clear offer, a page that converts and fast follow-up, they scale your sales. Without them, ads mostly buy visitors who leave.

    How the score works

Each question is weighted by how much it affects whether ads pay back. "Not sure" counts for a quarter of the points.

    • 75–100: ready to start.
    • 50–74: almost; fix the gaps first or alongside.
    • 0–49: not yet; fix the basics before spending.

    Questions

    Google ads or Meta ads?

Google suits people already searching for what you sell. Meta suits creating demand and reaching people by interest. Many businesses start with Google for leads.

How much should I spend at first?

Enough for a meaningful test over three months. Use the ROAS and cost-per-lead tools to set a budget from your own numbers.

Can I run ads without a website?

Lead forms on Google and Meta can work, but a focused landing page usually gives better quality enquiries.

    Is my data saved?

No. Your answers stay in your browser. Nothing is sent unless you choose to email yourself the result.
