Content calendar calculator: how much content do you need to rank?

Work out how many articles, posts and videos a month it takes to cover your target searches, and the hours involved.

Your numbers

Results are estimates to guide decisions, not financial advice. Your numbers stay in your browser.

Plan content from searches, not from a calendar

Posting every day does not help if the posts answer nobody's question. Start from what your buyers search, group related searches, and write one strong page for each group.

Articles needed = searches ÷ searches per article − pages you already have
Articles a month = articles needed ÷ months

Make every article work harder

  • Answer the question in the first two sentences, then go deeper.
  • Turn each article into social posts and a short video.
  • Update your best pages every few months instead of always writing new ones.

Questions

How do I find the searches to target?

Start with the questions customers ask your sales team, then check Google's suggestions and "People also ask" for each one.

Is one long article better than several short ones?

One clear page per topic usually works best. Split a topic only when the searches need different answers.

How long until content ranks?

Often a few months for new pages, sooner for sites Google already trusts. Steady publishing matters more than bursts.

Is my data saved?

No. The calculation runs in your browser. Nothing is sent unless you choose to email yourself the result.
